# Introduction
This document contains the information that does not traditionally appear in a resume. Resume's are too focused and do not allow consideration of adjacent opportunities.
# Academic
Was the 1990 Epley Award winner for outstanding work on my senior thesis in Sociology.
While in the Army:
- I enrolled in graduate computer science courses with Boston Univeristy at the Heidelburg campus in Germany.
- I enrolled in undergraduate computer science courses with University of Maryland also in Heidelberg.
As a graduate student of Sociology:
- I was the student representative for the Midwest Sociological Society
- I presented a qualitative study of social interactions on CompuServer and AOL
- I taught undergraduate Intro to Sociology, Formal Organizations, and Marriage and Family at ISU and Heartland Community College.
I attended the Harrington College of Design in Chicago.
# Hobbies
## TTRPG and Fantasy lifestyle
Took up Dungeons and Dragons in Junior High
- Played many other TTRPGs starting in the 1980s
- Call of Cthulhu, Car Wars, Shadowrun, MTG
- Collected and painted miniatures
Joined the Society for Creative Anachronism while in college.
- Learned fighting and procured a set of armor
- Learned calligraphy and illumination
- Produced award scrolls for many events using these skills
## Artistic
I learned to draw in the early 2000s after reading the book "Drawing on the right side of the brain". I continued to draw for a long time.
Learned Photoshop and digital artwork shortly after.
Learned to create digital art with softare like Poser, Bryce, Vue, and DAZ Studio.
Began making 3D art in Modo and ZBrush.

Where other people watch TV, I play video games.
I have played video games consistently since the 80s.
